The Cryofacial™ was developed by Dr Kuehne in Los Angeles, CA. Cryofacial™ uses pressurized liquid nitrogen vapors which are applied to the face, neck, and scalp to stimulate the production of collagen and decrease pore size. The skin becomes tighter, more even-toned, and blood circulation is improved. Over time, skin becomes more elastic due to the increase in collagen. The cold triggers hair follicles to produce hair on your scalp, eye lashes and eyebrows making your lashes and locks stronger and longer. The process is very relaxing and soothing.
During your CryoFacial™ session, skin vessels and capillaries receive heavy vasoconstriction (to keep the core temperature from dropping), followed by vasodilation after the procedure. Nasty toxins and other stored deposits are flushed out of the layers of the skin and blood perfusion is improved after several treatments. The anti-inflammatory properties of cryotherapy are also used to treat chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema. With repeated applications Cryotherapy will assist in reducing the affected areas, relieving discomfort and during a treatment regime will even heal the area.
